Clap Clap Games is a Brazil-based developer and publisher of casual mobile and web games. We are a small studio based in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
This Privacy Policy explains how Clap Clap Games (“Clap Clap Games”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles personal data when you visit clapclap.games, use a web game that we directly host or make available through an embedded player, or use one of our mobile games to the extent that we control the relevant processing.
It also explains what we do not control. Platforms and services such as Poki, CrazyGames, Apple App Store, Google Play, social networks, and other third-party portals may process data independently when you use their services. Their own privacy notices, terms, and controls apply to that processing.
Our Terms of Use explain the rules for accessing and using the Website and games that Clap Clap Games directly provides. Those Terms do not replace the privacy information in this Policy or the terms of independently operated platforms.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
For the processing described in this Policy, Clap Clap Games is the organisation responsible for deciding why and how personal data is used, where applicable under the law of your location. Our privacy contact route is the Contact page or support@clapclap.games. Please write “Privacy request” in the subject and explain the request, the game or website involved, and the platform where you used it.
2. What this Policy covers
- The Website: the public pages, game catalogue, media pages, contact information, and other content on clapclap.games.
- Web games: games that we directly host or make available through a page on our Website. Some pages may load a game or player from another domain.
- Embedded games: some pages may contain an embedded player or frame operated by a distribution platform. At the time of this update, the Build Your Rocket page includes an embedded CrazyGames player. A platform may receive information directly from your browser when its player loads or when you interact with it.
- Mobile games: games distributed through iOS, Android, or another store or publisher platform, but only for processing that Clap Clap Games actually controls. A platform or partner may be an independent controller for other processing.
This Policy does not replace the privacy notice of a platform where you play a game. If you have a question about data collected inside a platform’s own player, account, advertising system, or app-store service, contact that platform as well as us where appropriate.
3. Personal data we may process
The exact data depends on how you interact with us and which game or platform you use. It may include:
- Contact and correspondence data: your name, email address, company, message, game name, platform, links, deadlines, and any files or other information that you choose to send to us.
- Website technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring or exit pages, pages and links viewed, dates and times, language or region settings, approximate location inferred from an IP address, diagnostic information, and security or fraud signals.
- Cookies, local storage, and similar identifiers: information stored or read by a browser or device to remember preferences, support security or functionality, measure use, or preserve a game session. The availability and names of these technologies vary by Website page, game, browser, operating system, and provider.
- Game and advertising event data: game sessions, playtime, progress, performance, gameplay events, ad impressions or interactions, completion of a rewarded video, and similar events. Depending on the implementation, this may be associated with a device, application, installation, or advertising identifier, IP address, or approximate location.
- Store and platform information: information that an app store or distribution platform chooses to provide to us, such as an app, purchase, subscription, support, or platform event. We do not ask you to enter payment-card data on this Website; store payments are handled by the relevant store or payment service.
- Public or partner-provided information: information you make public or that a distribution partner provides to us in connection with publishing, support, fraud prevention, analytics, or game performance.
Please do not send sensitive personal data through the Website or by email unless we specifically ask for it and explain why it is needed.
4. How we receive information
We may receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from our hosting and security providers, from analytics or advertising services, from app stores and game portals, from publishing or technology partners, or from public sources.
5. Why we use personal data
Depending on the context and the law that applies, we may use personal data to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Website and our games;
- respond to business, media, partnership, licensing, and player-support requests;
- understand traffic, gameplay, engagement, performance, and technical problems;
- measure advertising delivery, rewarded-video completion, and game monetisation where a game or platform supports advertising;
- prevent abuse, fraud, cheating, security incidents, and other misuse;
- manage relationships with stores, portals, publishers, service providers, and other partners;
- comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal rights; and
- carry out another purpose explained to you when the data is collected.
Depending on the processing, a legal basis may include your consent, steps requested by you or performance of a contract, compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation, exercise or defence of rights, protection of life or safety where applicable, or our legitimate interests where those interests do not override your rights. The appropriate basis depends on the specific processing and jurisdiction; this Policy is not a guarantee that any particular legal basis applies in every situation.
6. Cookies, local storage, and device identifiers
We and the services used on or with our Website or games may use cookies, local storage, pixels, scripts, software development kits, application-instance identifiers, advertising identifiers, and similar technologies. They can support essential operation, language and preference settings, security, caching, gameplay, analytics, advertising, and measurement.
Website analytics currently observed. When this Policy was updated, the live Website included the Google Analytics JavaScript library analytics.js and sent page-view data. Google may receive information such as IP address, browser or device information, pages viewed, referrer, timestamps, and similar metadata, and may use cookies or comparable identifiers according to its own policies. The Website configuration may change, including the analytics product or property used. Google’s information is available in its Privacy Policy, and its current opt-out information is available in the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on guidance.
The current Website does not present a separate cookie-preference centre. You can block or delete cookies through your browser or device settings, although some preferences, embedded players, or game functions may not work as intended. If a consent banner or settings control is shown in the future, that control will govern the technologies and purposes it covers. Nothing in this Policy is intended to serve as consent where a separate consent is required.
Mobile operating systems and game platforms provide additional controls for advertising identifiers, tracking, personalised advertising, and permissions. Those controls are managed by the relevant operating system or platform and may not affect data that the platform itself collects for its own purposes.
7. Advertising and monetisation
Some games may be free to play and supported by advertising. Depending on the game, device, country, and distribution arrangement, advertising may include interstitial ads, rewarded video, mid-roll video, display or banner advertising, or other formats. A rewarded video may be offered as an optional exchange for an in-game benefit, but the platform or provider may still record the request, impression, completion, reward, or related event.
Advertising and measurement providers may process device or application identifiers, IP address, approximate location, game or app information, ad requests, impressions, interactions, frequency, and consent or advertising choices. We do not assume that one provider or SDK is used across all games. The relevant platform, publisher, or game technology may select or change providers over time, and the provider’s own notice applies to its independent processing.
The Website itself is not described here as carrying every advertising or analytics technology that may be present inside a game or on a third-party portal. This distinction is important: a web page on clapclap.games, an embedded player, a game portal, and a mobile app may have different data flows.
8. Independent platforms and third-party services
Poki and CrazyGames
Our Website links to games on Poki and CrazyGames, and some pages may embed a player supplied by one of those platforms. When you visit or play through their services, the platform may independently collect and use information about your browser, device, gameplay, advertising, and interactions. At the time of this update, platform reporting available to us included gameplay, engagement, and advertising metrics such as rewarded and mid-roll video activity for games distributed through Poki. Those platform operations are controlled by the platform and its partners, not by this Website’s Privacy Policy.
We may receive reports, aggregate statistics, support information, or other information that a platform shares with us under the applicable publishing arrangement. Review the platform’s current privacy notice and use its consent or privacy controls for activity taking place on that platform.
Apple App Store and Google Play
Apple and Google independently operate their app stores, accounts, payment systems, device services, ratings, and distribution infrastructure. They may process account, device, purchase, subscription, download, diagnostic, and advertising information under their own policies. We generally do not receive your payment-card number through the Website. If a mobile game offers an in-app purchase or subscription, the store or its payment service processes the transaction and determines what information is shared with us.
Other links and embeds
The Website contains links to social networks, media outlets, app stores, game portals, and other websites. A link or embed may send information to the third party when you follow it or when its content loads. We do not control those services, their cookies, their privacy practices, or their content. Review the privacy notice of each service you use.
9. When we share personal data
We may share personal data, as needed for the purposes described above, with:
- hosting, infrastructure, security, email, support, analytics, and other service providers acting for us;
- publishers, distribution platforms, app stores, game portals, advertising or measurement partners, and technology providers involved in delivering or supporting a game;
- professional advisers, insurers, auditors, or prospective buyers in connection with a business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations;
- courts, regulators, law-enforcement authorities, or other parties when required or permitted by law; and
- another party when you ask us to share the information or otherwise consent.
Recipients may process information under our instructions or independently, depending on their role and the applicable arrangement. This Policy does not turn an independent platform into our service provider or make us responsible for its independent processing.
10. International transfers
Clap Clap Games is based in Brazil. Our service providers, analytics providers, game portals, app stores, publishers, and other partners may process personal data in Brazil or in other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection rules from the country where you live.
Where required, we consider applicable transfer requirements and safeguards, which may include contractual protections, adequacy decisions, or another legally recognised mechanism. Independent platforms decide their own transfer arrangements and should be consulted directly about their processing.
11. How long we keep information
We keep personal data only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide support, to maintain security and records, to comply with legal obligations, or to establish or defend claims. For example, contact correspondence is generally kept while the request or relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterwards; security and technical logs may be retained for shorter operational periods; and analytics or advertising data may follow the retention settings of the relevant provider or platform. Backups may retain information until they are rotated out.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymise it, or securely isolate it where appropriate. Retention can be extended when required by law or reasonably necessary for a dispute, investigation, audit, or security matter.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident that requires notice under applicable law, we will follow the applicable notification requirements.
13. Your rights under Brazil’s LGPD
If the Brazilian Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD) applies, you may have rights that include:
- confirmation that your personal data is being processed and access to it;
- correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
- anonymisation, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary, excessive, or unlawfully processed data;
- portability of data, subject to applicable regulation and commercial or industrial secrets;
- deletion of personal data processed on the basis of consent, subject to legal exceptions;
- information about public or private entities with which we have shared your data;
- information about the possibility of refusing consent and the consequences of doing so;
- revocation of consent, where consent is the legal basis;
- opposition to certain processing where permitted by law;
- review and information about criteria and procedures used in a decision made solely by automated processing that affects your interests; and
- the right to submit a request to the Brazilian data-protection authority (ANPD) or another competent consumer-protection body after, or as permitted by, the applicable process.
To make a request, contact us through the Contact page or support@clapclap.games. We may ask for reasonable information to verify identity and locate the relevant records. We will not ask for more information than reasonably necessary. Some rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions, including records that must be retained by law or are needed to establish, exercise, or defend rights.
14. EEA, GDPR, and UK rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction where similar rules apply, you may have rights to be informed, access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict processing, receive portable data in applicable cases, object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent, and complain to a competent supervisory authority. You may also have rights relating to solely automated decision-making and profiling where the law provides them.
We do not currently use data collected through this Website to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means. A game platform or other independent service may have its own processing and should be contacted directly about that activity.
Use the Contact page or support@clapclap.games to exercise a right against processing that we control. We generally respond without undue delay and within the period required by the applicable law. If the request concerns an independent platform, you may need to send it to that platform as well.
15. Children’s privacy
Our games are casual entertainment and may be accessible to children, even when they are distributed on open platforms. We do not knowingly ask children to create an account on clapclap.games or intentionally request a child’s name, email address, or precise location through the Website. Please do not send personal information about a child to us unless it is necessary for a support or privacy request.
Game portals, app stores, mobile operating systems, advertising providers, and analytics providers may have their own age rules, child-directed settings, parental-consent processes, and limits on personalised advertising. Those independent services are responsible for their own processing and notices. Where a game or platform offers a child-directed or family setting, use the controls provided by that service.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal data to Clap Clap Games, contact us at support@clapclap.games or through the Contact page. We will review the request and take steps that are appropriate and required by applicable law.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when our Website, games, partners, technologies, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we may also provide an additional notice where appropriate. The updated Policy is effective when posted unless it says otherwise.
17. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact support@clapclap.games or visit https://clapclap.games/contact/. Please include the website, game, and platform involved, and do not include unnecessary sensitive information.
